The new work of Moscow-based experimenter Tony Deus is entirely dedicated to space in general and asteroids, as evident from the EP's title. Just like the term "asteroid" was coined by composer Charles Burney, Tony Deus' music is full of cosmic vibes, but like asteroids, it often takes an unconventional (from a geometrical point of view) form.
Each track on this mini-album is named after a well-known asteroid. However, not every asteroid receives a name; only those whose orbits are more or less reliably calculated are named. There have been cases where an asteroid received its name decades after its discovery. Until the orbit is calculated, the asteroid is given a temporary designation reflecting the date of its discovery. Similarly, Anton's music goes through a series of exhausting checks and measurements after extended work before it is presented to the public.
The overall style of the EP is not easy to systematize, but it can be described with one word – IDM (Intelligent Dance Music). There is a substantial dose of Trip-Hop, seasoned with cosmic ambient and Glitch embellishments. However, it's essential to note that the number of known asteroids assigned to a specific type doesn't necessarily reflect reality. Some types are challenging to determine, and the type of a particular asteroid may change with more thorough research.
