Downtempo, Experimental

Spring is a time of contemplation of something new around us. Buds swell, fresh grass sprouts, and our ears are delighted with the new compositions from the Smolensk-based electronic musician Denis Sudakov, known as Ba5e. For the fourth year in a row, he presents his works to the public in the spring.

"Each track is written with my habit of continuous development, although sometimes repetitions slip in. Each composition is a story with its own mood, having a beginning and an end. But I like to tell stories briefly," says Ba5e.

The new album is titled "TWOZERONEZERO." In the seemingly unclear title, one can grasp the meaning if desired. TWO-ZERO-ONE-ZERO (2-0-1-0) - the year in which we live, the space in which we exist. Each composition brings you a range of emotions. The opening track "NANIMANANI" is a peculiar intro with notes reminiscent of the group Enigma. "Ah, that's where it comes from," you think, and the player loads the next melody. "Hmmnicestuff" is a more danceable track, making you nod your head to its melodies. And while you relax, a mystical sound sneaks up on you with "WARMSNOWFLAKE." It's intriguing, and it sends your thoughts to a distant forgotten Silent Hill.

"All the compositions are written in the same tone as the album and are based on wordplay. This new work became the 'lightest' for listening. The album is entirely made up of the best and previously unpublished pieces from the last year and a half. I hope you will enjoy it," smiles Ba5e.
