B3TAS - Artifice EP (2014)

B3TAS is the pseudonym of a young artist from Ufa, a city in eastern Russia. Despite his relatively young age, Tikhomir is quite a prominent figure in the world of music-oriented internet platforms. He manages the small online label Singulary Records, which focuses on releasing cutting-edge electronic music. He is also involved in design work, produces for fellow musicians, and manages to pursue his education at the same time!

His latest work for SUBWISE includes two tracks, one of which is a collaboration with the talented artist Just Aum from Volgograd. This track is clearly inspired by the new wave of Bass music, featuring snare trills and hi-hat madness, combined with a deep atmosphere and a memorable melody. The second track is more reminiscent of Nick Cave's creations, but with one distinction - if Nick Cave produced techno, it might sound something like this.
